Mother Trust Organization
Iranian-born Afghani Ms.Laila Haidari, “mother” of drug addicts and the founder of Mother Trust Organization, came to Kabul after unhappy marriage and divorcing her husband. Eight years ago she decided to set up the centre after her experience with her drug-addicted brother. She helped more as 4000 drug addicts. Laila is a filmmaker and besides the center is the owner at the restaurant to support the center.
They make their own furniture.

The best medicine is work, be active. Laila is checking how the guys doing the chairs.

Zakariya, 24 years old.
Zakariya used to be a teacher. Because of his mental issue, he began to be addicted ton heroin. His family helped him and brought him to the organization. He speaks English and likes the books. He explained to us with a daily schedule: 5 am get up, one hour the sport’s activities, 6am the breakfast, after the cleaning, 1-2 hours free program, around 11am listening and learning, after 1-2 hours free program, 1pm the lunch, after cleaning, around 3pm game time, after the snack time (the tea, coffee, fruits), cleaning, 1 hour game time, after 1 hour free program, 1 hour listening and learning, around 7pm the dinner, after cleaning everything, 1-2 hours free program, 10pm sleep time.

These guys from this group of Laila /in the middle/ found them and helped them under the bridge.
family help
The manager /left site/ with a group of guys who helped the family find their way to Mother Trust.
68 years old. Laila helped him from under the bridge (the place of drug addicts) and brought him to Mother Trust.
They do everything for themselves in the house. The work helps to find responsibility and independence.
Library
Study and understand is very important to find “the new way”. Laila introduces me to me their library, important books which are part of the therapy.
